Bold form and functionality

Kard Subbi’s acoustic products combine sculptural form with acoustic functionality.

Tipi – an oasis of silence, a primal refuge that muffles sound while maintaining visual connection with the space.

Ribi floor lamp – a combination of light and acoustics that brings cosiness and reduces echo. Additional feature: a concrete umbrella holder.

About the Designer

Kard Subbi is an interior architect and designer, a graduate of the Estonian Academy of Arts, and a member of the Estonian Association of Interior Architects, holding a certified interior architect qualification / level 7. Her work focuses mainly on public spaces: offices, schools, cafés, restaurants, clubs, and exhibition areas. With international experience, including time spent living and working in Paris. She has created furniture, lighting, acoustic solutions, as well as art projects, concrete sofas, sculptures, wall graphics, and even municipal design concept for Saue municipality.

At the Tallinn Design Festival's Mini-fair, She will present Her newest acoustic product creation Tipi, which idea origins from the Riba pendant light, designed in collaboration with the legendary product designer Margus Triibmann.

At the fair, I share the stage with Loreida Hein - a distinguished designer and long-time collaborator. Together we have carried out numerous joint projects: hosting an interior design TV show, designing offices and learning environments, exhibition stands, as well as art projects and competitions. In a larger team, we also developed the modular furniture series LESS, which is currently on hold while looking for strong production and marketing partners. This time, instead of joint authorship, we will both present our own creations – yet the talk promises to be an engaging dialogue where the ideas and perspectives of two creative personalities intertwine.
